Festival Letterario del Monreale:
The Festival Letterario del Monreale, held in San Gavino Monreale, reached its sixth edition in 2024. This year’s theme was “Justice and Truth”, explored through a diverse lineup of literary readings, musical performances, author panels with national and international guests, exhibitions, and workshops for children and young adults. The festival takes place in historical locations such as Casa Mereu and Casa Museo Dona Maxima, creating a culturally rich and immersive experience for attendees. The event is split into two parts: a summer session in July and an autumn session in October.
Festival Bimbi a Bordo:
The twelfth edition of the Festival Bimbi a Bordo took place from August 29 to September 1, 2024, in the fascinating setting of the Montevecchio mining site in Guspini. The theme for this year was “Rhythm”, exploring how rhythm influences storytelling and the reader’s experience. The event offered a rich program of creative workshops, performances, animated readings, and meetings with authors, drawing families and literature enthusiasts together in a unique setting that blends industrial archaeology with natural beauty.
MarmilLibri – Literary Festival of Marmilla:
MarmilLibri 2024 took place from November 7 to December 14, involving 18 towns across the Marmilla region of Sardinia. This festival blended literature, poetry, and cultural reflection with themes such as sustainability and environmental awareness. The event included literary meetings, book presentations, literary walks, and urban tours, all aimed at promoting the region’s cultural and historical heritage while celebrating local traditions and nature.
