What is the difference between a par can and a flat par light?

Both are PAR (Parabolic Aluminized Reflector) fixtures, but they have different form factors:Par can lights have a cylindrical body resembling the traditional PAR64 stage lantern. They're deeper in profile, often used in touring rigs and on-truss for their familiar form factor and robust housing.Flat par lights (LED flat par) have a slim, low-profile body with the LEDs mounted flush across the face. They're lighter, easier to pack, and more commonly used for floor-based uplighting, event decoration, and spaces where the fixture itself is visible to the audience.Both produce similar output at equivalent wattage. What does DMX512 mean for par can lights?

DMX512 is the standard digital control protocol used to program and control stage lighting fixtures.Each DMX-compatible par light receives a unique address (1–512).
